Frequently Asked Questions
What area do you cover?
Our service team supports customers throughout the UK. As we are based in Whitstable, Kent, engineer visits require planning and scheduling to ensure the appropriate expertise, tools and parts are available for your site visit.
How quickly can an engineer attend?
Response times depend on the nature of the request, equipment type, location and engineer availability. We assess each case individually and will always aim to provide the fastest and most effective support option, including remote assistance where appropriate. Customers with service plans in place may benefit from priority scheduling and proactive maintenance support.
Can I request remote support?
Yes. Many technical issues can be assessed and resolved remotely, helping to minimise downtime and avoid unnecessary site visits. Our team will advise whether remote support is suitable for your application and equipment.
Do you support equipment not purchased from LS Scientific?
In many cases, yes. If we support the manufacturer and have access to the required technical information, training and parts, we may be able to assist with servicing, maintenance and repairs regardless of the original supplier. Please contact us with your equipment details to discuss available support options.
Why should I consider a service plan?
A service plan provides peace of mind that your equipment is being maintained at regular intervals by trained service engineers. Benefits can include scheduled preventative maintenance, service reminders, reduced risk of unexpected downtime, priority support and improved equipment reliability throughout its lifecycle.
Do you supply spare parts?
Yes. We can source and supply genuine spare parts for many of the manufacturers and product ranges we support. Where appropriate, service agreement customers may benefit from faster identification and management of commonly required replacement parts.
What happens after I sumbit a support request?
Once your request has been received, our team will review the information provided and contact you to discuss the most appropriate course of action. Depending on the nature of the issue, support may be provided remotely, through the supply of parts, or by arranging an on-site engineer visit.
