A different design to the Soxhlet extractors, this plain extractor allow the solvent vapour to directly permeate the solid material before washing back into the evaporating flask.
 
Designed for use in reflux assemblies so that solvent vapour permeates directly through the material to be extracted then condenses and washes back into the flask
Sample can be supported directly on glass spiral or in a paper or glass thimble
